A crazy month ahead

Well I move in 25 days yippee. Not so yippee for all the things that need to be done. Today my sister and her two kids and my aunt and her daughter are coming out to visit for 4 days. I also have a garage sale this weekend to get rid of some stuff. During this time they want to go to the WEM for swimming and Galaxyland. Next week, I have to go to my last orthodontist appt and get them to switch everything over to NB. The moving company is coming to see what needs to be moved and our house inspector. Next weekend I also have a Passions Party. On the 11th me and my sons are flying to Manitoba to spend some time with the family and staying there for 6 days. I have two Passions Parties the week I am there. When we get back my parents are coming back with me and the movers will be here on the 19th to pack everything and we have the weekend to clean the house. The 23rd is out march out of the house and then away we go. Atleast i dont have to pack anything, which is a bonus and way less stress. I cant wait to get this next month over with and be in my new home.

Back from NB

Well I am back from Nb and what a week we had. First off we had a four hour lay over in Toronto. BORING. Then we got to Fredericton and got lost trying to find the Ramada. Let me tell you we are not use to all off the turns. Edmonton is so straight it's hard to get lost. The next day we looked at 7 houses. First two were in New Maryland and im glad we got those ones out of the way because there was no way we were moving into them. Then we looked a few in Oromocto, one was perfect except for the yard. It was too small for the boys to play in and the yard was sloped. But we kept it on our list. The others not so nice. Then we went to Burton and I found my perfect house. We got back to the office and we were about to put an offer in for it and the owners had just accepted an offer. I was almost in tears. The day was almost over and nothing, we had nothing. Then came house number 8. It had a pool, a play structure for the kids and still had enough room in the yard for the kids to play in, and it was only two houses away from my husbands coworker who just moved there in Feb. It was out of our price range but the owners real estate agent said he wanted to get rid of it so we tried. Nope he just wouldnt budge. Dont get me wrong, it was nice but it wasnt the biggest house on the street and for the price he wanted we could have got alot more. We hardly slept that nite, but the next day we back on our way to look for more houses. Our choices were either to go higher in price or take out that fourth bedroom. I had already made up my mind that we were living in Burton or Oromocto. Finally after 7 more houses we found our house. It only had 3 bedrooms, but a fourth can be build and we barely went over the price we agreed on. We went to go put in an offer and OF COURSE someone was too, I said oh well we are putting one in. So we did and we got the house. Though the one agreement was that we had to move our closing date up 10 days earlier. Im really excited to move now, the house only needs a few things done, nothing important just stuff we want updated. So we had an extra few days so we took a drive to St.Andrews, and I love it there. We found a store where we already bought some house decor., and plan on going back again. Fredericton is beautiful even though i hate hills, i cant wait to start our new life out there and meet some wonderful people. Everyone seems so nice, especially when you get a flat tire on the highway and people stop to help you. Thats it for now,now its time to start preparing for our moving in ONE MONTH.YEAH.

Leaving on a Plane

Well in less than 12 hours I will boarding a plane and making my way to New Brunswick. I am really excited to go but at the same time I am really sad to leave my boys. Today was a really rough today, we went to drop off the my husbands parents house and I have never felt so unwelcome. I stayed outside for the whole three hours we were there, with my son and dog. I finally broke down and called my sister and went for walk. My husbands step mother never a word to me, and they offered to watch our dog. Well werent there for more than 10 minutes and she was already freakin out because when our pup gets excited he tinkles a lil. But they have hardwood so its easy to clean up. Im starting to wish now i would have just brought them with us, or brought them to my parents house in Manitoba. I was almost to the point where i wasnt going to leave tomorrow, I really hope that our week is successful and goes by fast. I'll give you all an update when i get back or maybe while i am there.

Crazy Week

Well in just 5 days we will be on our way to Nb for our house hunting trip. I am so excited, we have a few houses in mind and hopefully they dont sell before we get there. I am also very excited to see a new place. Before we leave on Sunday, its seems I have a lot to do. It's my last week at being a dayhome provider, I have two Passion parties on Friday and Saturday night. We have to get the boys stuff packed since they will be spending the week with their grandparents. It's my husbands birthday on Saturday, so i have to bring the boys shopping. And lastly i have to some how manage to keep my house clean. How I plan on doing that is beyond me. My only plan this week is to stay calm and not too worry too much if I dont get something done. We also have a very busy week once we get to Nb. We have to look at houses all day on Monday, Tuesday I am going for a tour of the MFRC on base. I need to pick up papers for the preschool i am enrolling my son in. I would love to tour around Fredericton and see the city. In the week that we are there, we have to pick a house we want and get all the legal parts of completed. Now that I am writing all this down maybe i should start making a checklist.

Introducing myself

Hi everyone my name is Jo-Anne, Im 23 years old and have two sons. Ethan 4 and Cohen 1. Currently we are living in Edmonton, Ab. My husband has been posted to Gagetown, so now we are getting ready to make the change. I have never been further than Ontario so I am really excited to see the East Coast. Though we wont be there for about another two months, we are already preparing for our move. Starting to go through stuff we might not need anymore, looking at houses to buy, trying to find a preschool for Ethan, looking for playgroups for Cohen and I, and deciding if I should work or stay at home. Right now I run a dayhome and I am a Passion Parties Consultant. Hopefully I can continue with my Passion parties, but Im not too sure if I want to run a dayhome. As exciting as it is to be moving, I am nervous as well. I just keep thinking am I going to meet new friends?, will I like it out there? I guess only time will tell. Life isnt so hectic right now, but in two weeks we fly out there to look for houses and maybe I'll get a feel of what life is like out there. I hear it will be very very different from life in Edmonton.
